A special thank you to those individuals and organizations who understand the value of the choral arts and the role it plays in enriching our community. We are especially are grateful to the following:
INCITE Foundation for the Arts – Founded in 2011 and is a non profit organization dedicated to revolutionizing support for the arts in the Hamilton Community. Incite advocates for these meaningful programs, regardless of government support or economic situation. It believes in how the power of the arts can enrich communities, attract new visitors and economic growth to our city, initiate strong bonds of friendship and promote confidence and self esteem in individuals of all ages.
ArcelorMittal Dofasco-Through its Corporate Community Investment Fund, Dofasco invests in arts and culture; education; environment and conservation; health and human services; and sports and recreation. Dofasco has made major capital investments in: Art Gallery of Hamilton, St. Joseph’s Healthcare, Royal Botanical Gardens, Theatre Aquarius, the United Way of Greater Hamilton and Burlington and YWCA. Each of these community partners is chosen for their dedication to helping the region and its residents grow.
Lee Hepner Award Fund – This fund was established at Hamilton Community Foundation in 1986 following the unexpected death of Dr. Lee Hepner. Hugh Fraser, a writer for The Hamilton Spectator, stated that Dr. Hepner “provided the environments in which our best young musicians learned the great music of our civilization.” This fund continues to honour Dr. Hepner’s dedication to the development of young musicians and singers by providing a yearly bursary award for one member of the Hamilton Children’s Choir.
Like most performing arts groups, the Hamilton Children’s Choir relies heavily on fundraising efforts and donor support to keep going strong. Gifts are tax-deductible and an official tax receipt will be provided.
