You can imagine how challenging the past 20 months of the pandemic have been for the Hamilton Children’s Choir (HCC). Despite cancelled in-person performances, tours and rehearsals, HCC brilliantly developed a vibrant online presence for our choristers. Now entering our 47th season, After the Rain, HCC is delighted to share we have safely returned to in-person rehearsals and have developed a new Virtual Vocal Studios program. We are also looking forward to offering our first live performance in December!

Hamilton Children’s Choir enjoys a reputation of excellence. Not only acclaimed in our own city of Hamilton, HCC has also garnered awards and accolades from around the world. Our inclusive, skill-building programs, offered in-person and virtually to youths between the ages of 4 and 24, enrich lives and foster a sense of accomplishment. Through participation in the choir, our singers receive an unparalleled choral music education, performance opportunities, and experience a camaraderie that often develops into lifetime friendships.

HCC will always be my home, it will always be the place where I really truly found myself,
and the place where I grew up into the person I’ll be. – Emma, HCC alumni

Did you know that HCC provides financial support to young people who wish to sing with us? Through our Financial Award program, we provide fee subsidies to enable choristers from low-income families and those experiencing challenging times to develop their love of music and experience the joy of singing. Since 2006, the HCC has offered financial assistance to 477 singers and invested $233,000 in their futures.

You can help ensure there IS a rainbow after the rain.  A monthly or annual donation will help HCC build that rainbow, after such uncertainty, and brighten our young singers’ futures with continued life-changing musical opportunities.  By making as generous a gift as you can, your donation will make a positive difference in the lives of our children and youth. An income tax receipt will be issued for the full donated amount. If you have donated recently or in the past, we thank you for your support and generosity.

With heartfelt appreciation, and warm wishes for the holiday season.

Land
Recognition

We recognize the HCC is located on the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, the Haudenosaunee, Anishinnabe and Huron-Wendat peoples, covered by the Between the Lakes Treaty (No. 3) between the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the British Crown in 1792. As treaty people on this land, we encourage our community to join us on the continuing journey of learning more about our responsibilities for truth and reconciliation.
